Foreclosures

Pick up a news paper, turn on a TV, or listen to news on the radio and you'll be sure to hear about foreclosures. July's U.S. Foreclosure Market Report TM, which shows foreclosure filings - default notices, auction sale notices and bank repossessions reported an 8% increase from the previous month and a 55% increase from July 2007. The report also shows one in every 464 U.S. households received a foreclosure filing during the month. While South Carolina and the Aiken area aren't close to the top of the list in number of foreclosures, we most defiantly have seen a drastic increase which is keeping home prices low. Investors

I am not a CPA or attorney please consult one or www.1031x.com for more detailed information on this topic. This information is provided for a brief understanding. Under IRS Section 1031 profits from a non-owner occupied or simple put rental property can be rolled into more real estate and you may be able to defer paying income taxes on that property all together. There are rules that must be followed such that exchanges must be completed within 180 days and the exchange property must be identified in 45 days. For more info, please contact KT Ruthven.
